The Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation signifies a high level of professional education and a commitment to a course of continuing education. Persons who earn the CIC designation have indicated they recognize the need for practical insurance education through their careers as insurance professionals.

EARNING THE CIC DESIGNATION

The CIC designation is earned by attending five, two-day institutes. At the conclusion of each institute, a rigorous examination must be passed. You must take five of the seven CIC institutes, and pass five examinations, within five calendar years after passing the first exam (for example: If you pass your first CIC exam in June 2020, you must pass five exams by December 31, 2025).
